Seton Hall's Jamel Jackson isn't leaving the team, according to Adam Zagorida.

"Jamel Jackson has NOT left the Seton Hall team. He's currently on the bus to Syracuse after having a talk with coach Kevin Willard," Zagorida wrote on his Twitter page.

Jackson, a senior from Brooklyn, is averaging 5.2 points in 16.9 minutes per game this season.

Willard: Anything Can Happen To Players

Jan 7, 2011 12:36 PM

Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard figured his players would be safe at home on Christmas break.

The first-year coach found out he was wrong when senior Jeremy Hazell, already out with a wrist injury, was shot under his right arm in an attempted robbery in Harlem.

“Anything can happen, anytime, anywhere,” Willard said. “He was with family and friends walking home from a Christmas party. Some of these guys are from tough areas. We’re just thankful he was able to get away and he’s OK.”
